Years back, I looked into a home security proposal and decided against it. At that time, the proposal needed to be drilled into the home, and I wasn’t willing to go through the mess, effort and disruption of making holes into our walls and ceilings. I worried that the machine would become old easily and need to be replaced. Everything doesn’t need wires now. The replacement process is no longer time-consuming or invasive and new machines can be truly updated to accommodate technological advances. I am able to access and adjust all components through a user-friendly app on ipad. It doesn’t matter if I’m at home, at the office or half a world away on a trip, I can truly monitor the property. The proposal includes surveillance cameras that provide real-time video feed. I can see who is entering the driveway, walking through the yard or sitting on the front step. I am able to lock or unlock the door at any time and can even speak to whoever is at the door. The proposal includes a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and moisture detection and sends alerts if there’s a problem. The smart thermostat is a portion of the components, allowing me to make changes to temperature settings. As more and more appliances offer smart technology, it only makes sense to bundle the operations together into a single unit. Having greater control promotes superior energy efficiency, effectiveness, security and convenience.
