My girlfriend is not one to buy what can be considered conventional gifts. She once paid for my dental check-up as a birthday gift to me. She always put so much thought and effort into every gift she gave, one would be crazy not to appreciate them. Now it was my turn to come up with something equally unconventional for her and as I drove past the indoor comfort business I got a brilliant idea. Her house was fitted with a multi-split air conditioning system and given that she had the best heat pump among the two of us, there was not much I could do to improve the heat pump installation. She took care of it like her baby and never failed to have annual maintenance done. She knew more about air conditioning than I did because she spent a significant amount of time on the internet researching different things, including cooling products and new technologies in the cooling industry. I secretly contacted the local service provider who sent a cooling expert to her home while she was at work. The cooling workman from the local business installed a wifi thermostat to replace her analog one. The a/c setup was now something she would completely be proud of. This is one addition to her cooling system that I knew she was going to love. The only thing remaining was to bake the chocolate cake I knew she loved and her birthday surprise gift would be complete. I took the day off from work for her birthday and I planned to make it the best birthday we had celebrated together. I had also invited a few of our friends to celebrate.
