I’m still sort of pinching myself that I actually got to this stage in my life.
It’s my time now.
My entire adult life has been about making sure that everyone else was happy. And now I get to the focus on my happiness. In essence, I’ve committed my life to helping others. Whether inside the central air conditioning at home raising my children or anywhere else, I’ve been looking out for others. This was my choice and it’s not one I regret. In fact, I just don’t believe in regrets as they lead to nothing but second guessing. The kids don’t need me as much these days. My husband spends a ton of time working inside the commercial HVAC of the office. So I finally decided that I’d try something for me. For the longest time, I’ve always had interesting story ideas running through my brain. There have been times when I was sitting in the car with the air conditioning cranking while waiting for the kids and seeing plotlines develop in my head. So I decided to try my hand at producing some short stories. I went as far as to take over the guest room and spent much of the day writing inside the central air conditioning of my new home office. I think I may be onto something as everyone who reads for me thinks I have some talent. So I’m going to keep cranking out the pages while enjoying the central air conditioning inside my new home office. Who knows, maybe I’ll actually start publishing some of my stories.
