My parents have decided that they are finally going to be putting an addition onto their house.
I keep teasing them about the fact that they are finally doing it after all of these years now that our brother and I are finally grown up.
They say that their whole reason for doing it now is because they want to have extra room for the grandkids that they want our brother and I to have with our wives. I guess this is just a honestly giant hint on their part! The only thing that I’m upset about for them when it comes to putting on the addition is the fact that they might have some troubles with their heating and cooling plan after they get the additional space added on; Everyone knows that whenever you have to heat and cool additional areas in your home, then you’re going to have extra strain on your existing oil furnace and air conditioner. I guess they are talking to a couple of different Heating and A/C providers to see what their options are at this point. They could either put an additional Heating and A/C machine in the new home to handle the load of the new area, or they could try and use the 1 that they already have. Overlaboring the existing heating and cooling plan is absolutely not a superb idea, though. From what I’ve read, they may end up paying more in heating and cooling bills just because of the extra strain that the new space will put on their existing system. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
