My wife and I bought the house a couple of years ago.
The in-ground pool was already a feature, but the pool was not heated. My wife loved swimming and she spent nearly every summer day in the pool. She was always very sad when the summer season ended, because she could no longer swim in the cold water. Last winter, I paid a heating company to install a heater on the pool. I had the work completed when my wife went to the spa for the weekend with her friends. When she came home from the spa, she was ecstatic about the new pool heater. She swam in the pool every single day during the first winter that we had the pool heated. This winter, the pool heater only worked for a couple of weeks and then I had to call the company that installed the equipment. Thankfully we had a warranty that paid for all of the repairs and replacement parts. The original pool heater was defective and it needed to be replaced. The warranty covered all of the service repair fees and the installation costs. My wife loves swimming every morning before she goes to work. She gets a lot of exercise, even when it’s cold outdoors. She also enjoys relaxing in the pool at night. I’m really glad that we decided to heat the pool. It really allows us to fully enjoy the backyard, the pool, and our home all of the year.
