I moved into my small little community about 5 years ago.
I was completely new to the area and was expecting it to take a long time before I properly adjusted myself to living here.
To my surprise, adjusting was incredibly easy, and my neighbors were incredibly nice. I became good friends with my next door neighbor, and we would visit each other and talk all of the time. My neighbor and friend I found out was a science teacher for a nearby high school, and he knew I was an HVAC technician. He would teach me interesting science facts, and since I have always found science fascinating, I would happily listen. I learned a lot more about science and it’s fascinating ways because of him. In return, whenever he had any kind of HVAC issues I would help. Just earlier he came and knocked on my door to ask a question. He told me his air conditioning unit was no longer blowing cold air, and what he should do to fix it. I told him it was most likely a refrigerant issue, and when I checked on his cooling machine, I was right. His refrigerant was low, so I topped it off and that fixed it. While I was at it I did a basic cleaning of his air conditioner, since it was dirty on the inside and checked all of the parts to ensure they were working. He thanked me and asked some basic HVAC care questions, which I happily answered. I am always happy to inform and help others learn, the same thing he does for me.
