I was really happy for my brother when he first opened his HVAC business.
- He said that he wanted to install radiant heated floors at my house for a nice discount.
I thought this sounded like a wonderful idea. The next thing I knew, my wife was telling me that she purchased raffle tickets for this radio contest. She said they were going to do the drawing on a certain day, but she doubted she would win the grand prize. I asked her what the grand prize was and she said we would have radiant heated floors installed in our home for no charge. I couldn’t believe it because I basically promised my brother we would go through his company to have radiant heated floors installed. Of course, I figured my wife was right, we likely would not win the contest. Well, when it came that day for them to do the drawing, my wife flipped out when she learned that we won. I also couldn’t believe it. I knew that I couldn’t pass up on free radiant heated floors in our home, and I had to break the news to my brother. I let him know what happened, how my wife got us into that raffle contest and we actually won the radiant heated floors. He honestly couldn’t believe it himself, but he said it wasn’t a big issue. He said he was kind of just doing me a favor offering the radiant heated floors for so cheap, but if I could get them for free, that was even better! I was just glad that he was not upset but he said it would be one less thing he had to take care of.
