I decided to walk outside to get the paper this day and it was suddenly feeling very different. It was so strange that it made me stop a second. I didn’t hear the heat pump operating when I walked outside for the first time in more than three months. I smiled genuinely all day because I can tell the weather is shifting. Those times of near constant triple digit heat and humidity are definitely over. The people I was with and I still get especially overheated during the peak heating hours of the afternoon and the A/C machine is cooling the house. But that other mess is gone for a solid 8 months for certain. That is indeed a great reason to celebrate. Another reason to celebrate the end of all that heat is all the money I managed to save on Heating, Ventilation and A/C machine cooling this year. I finally managed to get it done finally. After years of failed attempts, I made real headway in lowering the cost of Heating, Ventilation and A/C cooling while in the hot season. Look, there’s genuinely no way to reside here in the summertime and not utilize A/C. That’s just not realistic in the least. However, by tightening up our residence to keep the cooling comfort in and the heat out, I started something major. I also started covering windows to stop sunshine heating. It genuinely didn’t take much to do these things. But keeping the temperature control in the low 70’s while in the day did take a bit of effort and discipline. Since I task at home, it was certainly warm while in the warmer months. But I used fans and that made a pretty huge difference for me. The summertime heat is over and this summertime I saved approximately 20 percent on our Heating, Ventilation and A/C machine cooling costs over last year.
