When I first saw the advertisement for the air conditioning technician position online, I sent it to my son to apply. I even helped him prepare for the interview. It had been a year and a half since he was employed. The indoor comfort business he worked for had since closed down because of the effects of the global pandemic. It had been a difficult time for my son when he was out of work, but he always had a positive outlook on life. He received a call back from the air conditioning company when we were having breakfast. They asked him to come in the next day. We could not hold our excitement. I got his suit ready and could not wait to hear about his day. At dinner, my son narrated to me his adventurous and busy first day at work. A few minutes after being taken around the company and introduced to the other air conditioning providers, the multi-split air conditioning system broke down. His boss had taken advantage of this issue to see whether my son knew more about air conditioning. He put him on the task of carrying out comprehensive HVAC maintenance and air conditioning repairs to the quality air conditioner. He assigned several a/c servicemen to help my son out, but he was the lead. My boss stood aside as he observed my son’s work.
