I work at lake beach house now & I don’t suppose I ever want to go back to an office setting.
- Had someone told myself and others that this would be the case just a few years ago, I would have laughed in their face.
I’ve only had 2 jobs in our life. They were both in the same industry however with 2 weird companies. The first was right out of university for just a few years before I got this 1. This job was quite the upgrade. The office had zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C & I had a thermostat right near our office. I got to travel for corporation & even had an expense account. Before I started a family, this was just the best life ever. But once you’re a mom, those corporation trips just mess up everyone’s schedule. Still, I actually enjoyed where I worked & the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C was just heaven. If you have to wear corporation attire all the time, at least I had charming quality heating & air so I was comfortable. Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined working from home. I’d done it a bit after the youngsters were born & I didn’t care for it at all. I wanted to be back in the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C of the office. That changed for relaxing once I was forced to figure out working from our own air conditioner during the pandemic. And to our utter astonishment, I was even better at our job in our own air conditioner than I was inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C of work. That’s where I method to stay as well.
