I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 16 years old, and growing up on a lake, I got to go to toil at a local resort the Summer I turned 16. I don’t know I spent a minute of that Summer inside the air conditioner. That was forty years ago as well as I’ve been taking care of guests ever since. But things are peculiar these afternoons since I’m no longer running hotels as well as resorts. I spent decades all over the globe managing complex hospitality operations from the commercial Heating as well as A/C of an office. Sadly, I’ve seen the focus slip away from actually caring for people as well as making their stays as wonderful as possible, however now, it’s all cost splitting as well as responding to only the negative stuff that is the focus of our industry. That’s a shame as well as that’s what got me to transition out of the commercial Heating as well as A/C to what I’m doing now. It’s actually the best of both worlds. I’m still doing my passion for a residing but I’m doing it now from where I was raised as well as in a much peculiar style. I inherited a bunch of untouched, forested dwelling from my parents. This is just pristine nature at its finest. So I quit my corporate gig as well as said goodbye to my office with zone controlled Heating as well as A/C. And my partner as well as I transformed some of that dwelling into a yurt village. It’s the perfect way to experience this natural setting but camping in luxury. The yurts are on platforms with a ductless heat pump for quality heating as well as air. There are also sizzling tubs on all of those platforms as well. It’s just the perfect way to close out a charming career of taking care of my guests.
