I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 16 years old. Growing up on a lake, I got to go to work at a local resort the Summer I turned 16. I don’t think I spent a minute of that Summer inside the air conditioning. That was forty years ago plus I’ve been taking care of guests ever since. But things are different these afternoons since I’m no longer running hotels plus resorts. I spent decades all over the globe managing complex hospitality operations from the commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning of an office. Sadly, I’ve seen the focus slip away from entirely caring for people plus making their stays as good as possible, now, it’s all cost breaking plus responding to only the disadvantage stuff that is the focus of our industry. That’s a shame plus that’s what got me to transition out of the commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning to what I’m doing now. It’s entirely the best of both worlds. I’m still doing my passion for a living but I’m doing it now from where I was raised plus in a much different style. I inherited a bunch of untouched, forested property from my parents. This is just pristine nature at its finest. So I quit my corporate gig plus said goodbye to my office with zone controlled Heating plus Air Conditioning. And my wife plus I transformed some of that property into a yurt village. It’s the perfect way to experience this natural setting but camping in luxury. The yurts are on platforms with a ductless heat pump for quality heating plus air. There are also hot tubs on all of those platforms as well. It’s just the perfect way to close out a attractive job of taking care of my guests.
