It seems like my friend and I have commercials on television & in the paper all the time now for Heating, Ventilation & A/C companies.
- I never actually noticed them before but for some reason this year they just seem to be in excess.
Each one is offering a weird deal when it comes to tuning up your system or replacing it before the upcoming winter season & they got me thinking about ours that is over 20 years old. I spoke to my partner & ask him if my friend and I should look into possibly replacing the boiler in the basement because I was sure that it was an inefficient way to heat after all these years. He decided to contact a local business & see what other possibilities were available to us. When my friend and I had purchased the boiler all those years ago it was one of the most efficient ones on the market so I was hopeful that he was still a better choice because I did not want to spend the extra money on a up-to-date system. The salesman that came out to the condo took a look at everything & in fact confirmed that our boiler was still working fine. He did suggest that my friend and I replaced part of the exhaust pipe because he noticed that head corroded & had small holes in it which could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. I was glad that my friend and I had the system looked at & I was actually glad that used the exhaust pipe when they did because that could have been disastrous. Systems like the one my friend and I have require little repair & are normally actually efficient. It never hurts to have an assessment done of your home though to make sure that you are saving as much money as possible on your utility bills.
