I am going away to college next week & my parents are so sad about me.
I know that they just want me to be safe but I am starting to get annoyed with them being so overprotective.
I have had problems with asthma my whole life & they are convinced that if I don’t have my own dorm with my own personal Heating, Ventilation & A/C systeem that I will be sick the whole time I at school. I truly wish they would just let me live a normal life, but they insist on interfering. I truly do like the idea of having my own Heating, Ventilation & A/C system,but I would also like to live with someone for my first year away at school. I have tried to convince them that having a Heating, Ventilation & A/C system to myself isn’t going to solve all my problems, but they won’t listen to me at all. I just want to have a normal college experience. I am going to have a drastic talk with them next week & let them know that I can’t deal with their behavior anymore & that I don’t want to leave alone even if it does mean having to share the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system with someone else for a year. I know that I will be able to handle it, now I just need them to trust me. I truly hope this conversation goes well next week; Fingers crossed that I will get what I want!
