I absolutely hate the process of looking for a new place to live.
If you’re anything like me, you find the entire ordeal very stressful.
For many years I have avoided the whole house hassle. However, I realized that it was finally time to pull the trigger and get myself a permanent place to live. I decided to start looking for houses a few months ago and I was overjoyed when I had some immediate success. It didn’t take long before I had found an amazing house and put down an offer. After that, things didn’t get very easy. I had a lot of challenges negotiating the closing details. In the end, I asked that the sellers replace the central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. I wasn’t a fan of the old forced air furnace and air conditioning unit that they had installed. Both of them were at least 15 years old so I was expecting to need professional heating and cooling upgrades almost immediately. Obviously, this air temperature control problem was a major deterrent for purchasing the house. Thankfully, the sellers agreed to replace the central heating, cooling, and ventilation system. Before the closing date they were required to have a professional HVAC dealership perform the forced air furnace and air conditioning units upgrades. The sellers followed through with the heating and cooling changes. However, when I moved in it seemed like the air temperature fluctuated a lot. My energy bills were always very high. When I eventually called the heating and cooling company for help, they told me the reason. The HVAC system was replaced… With air handling units that were too small for the house.
