I never realized how hard it would be to love someone for a lifetime.
I know that relationships are hard, but it seems like my relationship with my indoor air temperature control unit is the cause for a lot of battles with my wife.
Now, hear me out, I love my lady… but I also want to divorce her more often than not. Especially when she gets too wild about changing our house with expensive renovations. I appreciate the excitement, but she gets very unrealistic about what we can viably change in one season. This is especially the case with our heating, cooling, and ventilation system. For the past five years, it seems like she is always going online to poke at the boiler system or watching YouTube videos to better understand the air conditioning system. I generally have no idea what she is doing to our indoor air handling devices, but recently I learned she had big plans for the heating, cooling, and air quality control devices. She started manically talking about installing new mini split ductless heating and cooling solutions for our bedroom one day out of the blue. Now, I’m not against the idea of ductless air handling systems, but I felt like we should hold off on the new air temperature control investment until we first see how the other recent HVAC renovations have worked out. We just got a smart thermostat installed about a week earlier. We had no idea if our indoor air quality or energy efficiency had already been improved. We haven’t even finished programming the temperature control device. Meanwhile, my wife was apparently obsessed with the idea of even more brand new HVAC devices installed. Why is marriage so hard?
