I wouldn’t have believed, had I been told, that it could take so long to repair one air conditioning unit. The first thing that had me raising my eyebrows, was that three HVAC techs arrived at my house. They all nodded and smiled as they went to work on my AC unit. They were all removing parts and doing some cleaning. Then I watched, from the window, as the older man started pointing at something and he was talking. I was beginning to think they were in a training session and my AC unit was the object of his training. The one looked like he was going to argue over the decision of the older man, until the older man raised his hand. He pointed again and continued talking. An hour later, he came in and told me they would return with some parts. All three of them got back into the van, so they could get parts for my air conditioner. I was beginning to wonder if my AC unit was ever going to be repaired, when they returned an hour later. He had the fan off and he was removing a few more parts, while passing them to the other two to look at. One even smelled the part, which I thought was kind of icky. He nodded his agreement and gave the part back which was laid on the ground. An hour later, the older HVAC tech came inside. He told me it was indeed a training session and handed me a bill that was $0. I stared at him and he said it was in appreciation for allowing him to give him new guys some hands-on training.
