The A/C rep asked if I had noticed any noises from the heat pump, but I told him he needed to come urgently & be ready for anything, and from the state of the house, it was safe to suppose that the a/c tune-up was the least of our worries. I poured frigid water on Dean, which managed to stir him up. I helped him to the bathroom & hoped he was still lucid enough to bathe. The cooling specialist arrived numerous hours later, half an hour behind the cleaning crew, and he pretended not to notice the mess while I directed him to the cooling equipment. After inspecting the cooling products, he right away started on the A/C repair. He then upgraded the A/C filter & told myself and others I was lucky the A/C idea was using the latest cooling technology; otherwise, I would have had to buy a new device. The A/C expert wanted to talk more about A/C, but he decided to spare since I could not listen. It was going to be a long day for me.
