With Summer just start there are several things that my adolescents are looking forward to.

Of course, not going to school is a major one.

I believe all of us can agree that this is one of the largest benefits of summer. However, one of my children’s favorite parts of this time of year is the county tolerable that happens in November, but now our region experiences hot & cold temperatures in the upper 74s during that time & it is an effort to stay cool while you are at the fairgrounds. I don’t believe it affects adolescents as much as it does adults because they are so excited about the rides & the exhibits, and each year my pal and I buy tickets so that my pal and I can spend at least three days at the tolerable & because they are not designated for a particular day it is nice because my pal and I can plan to go on cooler days. There are a few buildings at the fairgrounds that are weather conditions-controlled & my pal and I try to attend shows or exhibits in there when it is the middle of the day, of course, so does all the people else. These shows are usually packed with people & that still makes it uncomfortable. My great friend and I tend to spend most of our time trying to find shade somewhere well the adolescents run & go on the rides. I myself, will even tend to spend a lot of my time in the animal barns because at least I am not standing in the baking sun. My great friend and I have a lot of great memories that have been made at the tolerable & will continue to go each year even though it is during the hottest part of Summer.

It seems like we have commercials on television and in the paper all the time now for HVAC companies.

Systems like the one we have require little maintenance and are normally very efficient. It never hurts to have an assessment done of your home though to make sure that you are saving as much money as possible on your utility bills.

Everyone has some sort of heat in their house whether it is a forced air system or a boiler or even a wood-burning stove, but many people don’t have air conditioning at all. As my husband and I have gotten older we have become less tolerant of the heat during the summer so we decided to have an air conditioner installed in the house. We already had an existing forced air furnace so it was easy to incorporate the air conditioning into that and use the existing ductwork. Apparently he decided that he liked to sleep there and his fur blew everywhere around the vent. When we arrived my husband headed down into the basement armed with a baseball bat to see if there was an intruder and found nothing. Well he was down there he did hear the rattling noise and the thud and realized it was coming from the boiler. He went upstairs to ask my sister about how often she heard the noise and she said probably about every 30 minutes or so and then he informed her about where the noise was coming from. He asked about the last time she had her system looked at, but she simply said she had never had anything done. He told her there was definitely something wrong with it and that she should call an HVAC dealer right away which she did the following morning. When they investigated they found that there was so much air in the lines that each time the system turned on it rattled through the pipes and that was what was causing the noises.
